			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>At this meeting, the Board of Directors of the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) approved a new security firm for its transit centers and light rail stations.  The new firm is <a href="http://www.alliedbarton.com/" target="_blank">AlliedBarton</a>, which replaces Securitas Security Services.</p>

<p>Highlight of the evening: SCVTARU Founder Eugene Bradley presenting the <a href="http://www.vtaridersunion.org/causes/sunshinelaw.html" target="_blank">group&#8217;s proposal of Sunshine Laws</a> for VTA.  The proposal is similar to <a href="http://www.mercurynews.com/sunshinelaw/" target="_blank">one proposed for the City of San Jose.</a> It is Agenda Item 10.</p>
